CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS WITH STOKE CITY COUNCIL FOSTER CARERS
It was an honour to be involved in the presentation of certificates by our Managing Director, Wilf Buck to a number Foster Carers of Stoke City Council and to celebrate their achievement of the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare.
The presentations were made on the 2nd and 10th December at the Foster Carers quarterly meeting held at Longton Rugby Club.
As a Training Advisor with Eurosource one of my responsibilities, together with colleague Rachel Skelham is to work with Stoke City Council and support them in the recruitment, training and enhancement in their job role as Foster Carers.
The training programme which takes 14 months to complete includes:
- Monthly support workshops
- Regular home visits
- Employer Rights and Responsibilities
- Childcare Diploma Level 3
- Foster Care optional units at Level 3
- Functional Skills for Maths, English and ICT at Level 2
- Paediatric First Aid
On completion of their programme by the Training Advisor, the Foster Carers work has to be moderated through the Eurosource Internal Quality Assurance process so to ensure they have completed all of the work necessary and can celebrate their achievements.
